Think big! Wall Stories by PABUKU
PABUKU is an Austrian based design studio that specializes in the creation of mesmerizing collage art in revisiting victorian illustration with a contemporary twist. Our work has been described as “exquisite”, “exceptionally cool”, “outstanding in it’s field” and also as “slowfood for the eyes”. We are passionate about visual storytelling, creating sceneries with lots of detail one can dive into and relate to. Walls are perfect big scale stages when thinking big!
Our most recent project is a very unique one in many ways: the habitat for our new XXL collages is a queer hostel on the mountain pasture – the “Absteige zur Bärtigen Therese”(Dosshouse to the Bearded Therese) at about 1000 m above sea level in Trahütten, a small Styrian mountain village in Austria. PABUKU was invited by the owners, artists itshe+io for thinking big, creating bespoke collages inside and on the façade of the building. The extrodinary venue and alpine hideaway will open it’s doors for overnight stays in autumn. In the meantime our wall stories can be visited as an exhibition during “Almfrische – Spring on the Mountain”.
Treat yourself to a visit to this very special place and get inspired!
